Squirrel Warning on SHSBC Briefing Course

SHSBCRemimeo

Hello students,

I am making a second attempt to study the SHSBC (short BC) and I have come across a bad fabrication!

I had the first go with the check sheet HCO PL 10 Febr. 1980R I rev. 6. Jan. 81 and failed. I got stuck on the first level because this check sheet’s materials are organized chronologically and it completely overwhelms you due to its incredibly long runaway before you get to the practical part. All subject areas (levels, procedure, rundowns, metering, TRs, etc.) are completely jumbled and only after you have completed the course do you know everything about everything, which I found totally overwhelming. You can barely “flow out” (or apply) what “flows in” (or what is studied) during the course.

The 70s

So I obtained some older check sheets. Among others, I received the HCOPL 8. Jan 1972R of May 1972 and the BPL 8. Jan 1972RA II rev. 18 Jan 75. These were also organized chronologically, however, in an entirely different style. So I didn’t get anywhere with those. It only shows how early the suppression of the auditor’s training has started!

During the “9 missing months” Ron had disappeared, someone wrote the HCOB 30. Juli 1973 Scientology, Scientology, Current State Of The Subject And Materials in his name and wrote down((This paragraph and the following quote make up the addition of the RA version of this FSB. )):

It is for this reason that the Saint Hill Briefing Course checksheet should consist only of the chronological materials, studied in chronological order, excepting only the Study Tapes (Primary Rundown) which should be done first if not previously done properly.

In the BPL 18. 3. 75 Issue I SHSBC and Snr SHSBC it is explained in which way the BC is supposed to be changed. As a result, it also shows that these changes did not come from LRH. In the usual 1.1 manner, the opposite of what is said is done: It is said that the SHSBC was created in a new format “so that it is taught exactly like Ron’s original SHSBC.” – In fact, the radical changes to a chronological order and the split of the SHSBC to a class V and class VI part, the “Senior SHSBC” which is also supposed to contain confidential data, is being justified. This means the original SHSBC was “defused” of a lot of confidential data that today’s SHSBC students are deprived of.

This contradicts LRH’s stipulation for the BC precisely: In the HCOPL 10. 2. 66 Check Sheets Course Theory Courses he writes:

Level VI((As described later on, the BC used to consist of parts 0, 1 to 6, respective of the bridge levels.)) must include the entirety of the Whole Track materials assembled by M. Routsong((The Admin Dictionary gives the following information for this name: „INTERNATIONAL BOARD, the International Board is composed of three board members, L. Ron Hubbard, Chairman, Mary Sue Hubbard, Secretary, and Marilynn Routsong, Treasurer. It is the controlling board of Scn. There are no other boards or board members, individual board members, officers or secretaries with the power of issuing policy. (HCO PL 5 Mar 65 II) )) and boxed.

These are Zero rated.

Practical for the Level consists of finding and running late implants on another pc for which the plot is known and given.

Solo Auditing Theory materials are then studied.

Practical is completed by Solo Auditing to Grade VI Release.”

The Original Check Sheet

Then I received the SHSBC check sheet of 5. Dec. 1967. I liked that one a lot more because it is divided into levels, similar to the Academy: Level 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, V, VI and an L/N check sheet. But I wondered if I wasn’t happy a bit too soon and if Ron’s original course (1961-1966) was structured differently or at least had the intention to.

But then I came across the following HCOPL 14. Sept. 1965 Classification required before moving to next level with the distribution list: St. Hill only and SHSBC students!!!

There Ron writes about the SHSBC levels 0 to IV and that you have to have a level finished (theory and practice: you must have taken at least one PC to the end phenomena of the grade per level) before you start on the next one. Check sheet time 4 weeks including the practical part per level. So around 8 months on the entire SHSBC!

I think that this change, which has already set in in 1972 according to my documents, is a very bad destruction of the auditor’s training because it changes the SHSBC to a very theory-loaded course where data must be digested first before it can be applied at the end of the course. The checksheet of 1980 also contains levels (they are called level A, B, C) but they refer to time periods of the theoretical part: Level A includes, for example, 1948-1955. It’s simply a conceptual confusion to canvas the alter-is.

There is a practical part but God alone knows how it is supposed to be connected to the studied theory. This includes 50% of the check sheet after all which is encouraging, but there is another requirement in the “practical part”for studying the theory: The “practical checksheet of level A” basically consists of over 150 further references from the 60s and 70s (also tapes and several books!) in order to enable the students to bring someone else through M1 word clearing. This is a nice product and helpful for the further SHSBC course, but there is no connection to the data of the theory section. Because the word clearing showed up much later.

This means that the student doesn’t have to put anything, absolutely nothing, into practice what he learned between 1948 and 1955. This is what I mean by top and theory loaded. Thus, you have missing mass which threw me out of the course on the first attempt.

There are only 2 (!!!) of the 450 SHSBC tapes on level A of the 1981 check sheet, which is actually supposed to represent the core piece of the briefing course.

The 1967 check sheet, on the other hand, is completely different: You study the materials of the level 0 auditing and then deliver it. Simple and straightforward. There are at least 25 SHSBC tapes besides 13 books.

I started really enthusiastically on this “old” check sheet and then I came across the cited reference which completely agrees with this way of approach.((By now, one year has passed and I have completed SHSBC level 0 and 1. I have mainly been auditing and I also took the OT III course, which I have successfully finished. But over all, I am satisfied with the original checksheet and have advanced quickly. ))

I just wanted to quickly share this, back to studying now…

Best,
